Chart Hills Golf Club

What we say

The golf course was in excellent general condition with very fast but true greens. There are so many great holes but the pick of the crop is the par 3 17th: it only plays about 120 yards but when it’s to an island green it makes you think twice, specially if you have a few quid riding on the outcome.

You’ve got to try and negotiate the 130 bunkers on the course – some of them are pretty pointless though and are there purely for aesthetic reasons.

Chart Hills is set on 200 acres of gently undulating countryside and despite its relative youth in golfing terms, has already gained many accolades including being voted 'Best new course in England' by Golf World magazine and ranked number five in World of Golf's 2004 listings of top 200 courses in UK & Ireland.

Chart Hills has also been chosen to host the European Tour qualifying school venue and in 2006 hosted the Ladies English Open.

Accommodation: Sister venue Dale Hill Hotel & Golf Course is about 20 minutes away.

Don't trust these people ,, don't ever work to them ,, had to go to the court only to get paid for one day work ... god knows how many people couldn't do what I've done to get their money .

  • 5 out of 5 Fantastic Course, Well Worth The Money

This must be one of the best courses in Kent. In fantastic condition and as long as you stay out of the many, many bunkers, a good score is possible. P.S. Easily better than East Sussex, which caters far too much for its hotel guests than visitors and has let the course go a bit in the last few years.

  • 2 out of 5 Bunkers dont make a great course

    By Just a shot away

Not that impressed. The greens had been hollowed tined so didn't see them at their best. Yes it is a tough test of golf but some of the bunkers were really clay based and kept plugging my ball and was really let down by the signature 17th. East Sussex beats this hands down so save yourself £15 and head there.

Best played from the back tees but watch when the wind blows. Cracking course, greens very true and fast the day I played.

Absolutely superb course, bunkers could probably do with a bit more sand in them, but that does not detract from the overall enjoyment. The course can be challenging to any level of golfer. Well worth a visit.

Bring your bucket and spade! What it lacks in trees it makes up in bunkers and there are quite a few trees! the course is fantastic great undulating holes and even better greens, the clubhouse is very friendly and make you feel very welcome, check out the "anaconda" bunker on the 5th, highly recommened.
