Hill Barn Golf Club

What we say

A downland/parkland course with views across Sussex and the Channel. With some tree-lined fairways and elevated tees, it has a good balance of par 3s and par 4s – none of which are alike.

It’s just off the A24 near Worthing and is an outstanding 75-years-old Fred Hawtree layout nestling in the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park. You’ll love the sweeping panoramic English Channel views but you can’t afford to get too distracted because Hill Barns, with its undulating fairways, subtly-sloping greens and 100 plus bunkers, commands your full attention. It sits on chalk too so provides great year-round golf.

Set in the scenic South Downs National Park, Hill Barn Golf Club offers an 18 part parkland, part downland course, designed by Fred Hawtree, with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. The course features some hazards presented by trees, as well as numerous bunkers, requiring an accurate shot.

Course is stunning with views over the sea and downs. Greens were firm and quick, fairway and rough both striped up beautifully. Bar and Pro Shop staff really polite. Will be back for more!
