Ashridge Golf Club

What we say

The course has changed precious little down the years and, in fact, has retained virtually all of it’s original bunkers – though one or two, I suppose, are a bit closer to the tee than they ought to be. It’s a classic tree-lined layout on heathland and provides a wonderful challenge for all levels of golfer. The star hole is the 14th. A longish par 4 with a narrow green and a big pot bunker front left. A very accurate approach shot is therefore called for.

The course, originally designed by C K Hutchinson, Sir Guy Campbell, and S V Hotchkin, was designed to be sympathetic to the naturally occuring woodland surrounding.
