Course Description

Queen Victoria was busy celebrating her 80th birthday as Sir Alexander Dunbar of Boath stepped up to the first tee of a brand new golf course on the shores of the Moray Firth.

Amid applause from the crowd, he raised his specially made golf club and made a splendid drive along the gorse and whin lined fairway.

It was May 24 , 1899 and the first shot on the links course to which Sir Alexander Dunbar had given both his name and sixty acres of land, had just been played.

Fine Course

By gslack

Started at 18:45 in the evening having just got off the 'plane from Birmingham. Came off at 22.20. It was still light enough for a couple more holes. A great challenge at a good price. Not to be missed.
