Marriott St. Pierre Hotel & Country Club – Mathern Course

Last Updated:

What we say

The Old Course, the former European Tour and Solheim Cup venue, is the one everyone wants to play but the nearby shorter, tighter Mathern is a decent parkland test in its own right.

  • 4 out of 5 Good Challenge

    By Henry Cru

Nice course, was in very good condition particularly the fairways and greens. (played mid sept-15) Greens rolled very true and were fast too in places. Great value 2-4-1 voucher course. The 18th is a wonderful last hole.

  • 4 out of 5 April at St. Pierre

A Stunning club and facilities and we had a very warm welcome at the Pro shop on a showery April Wednesday afternoon. Great price with a 2-fore-1 only £35 for 2 of us to play a round. Played the Mathern course which is a good parkland course with a good mix of long and short holes. Some challenging Par 3's and plenty of opportunity to let rip with the big dog on long par 4's and 5's. Overall Good course and good facilities

  • 3 out of 5 Should be good when its done

at the moment only a few that you can play but the greens are awsome should be really nice when all the work has been done

  • 1 out of 5 A quiet Monday at a saturated St Pierre.

Apart from the greens the course was very wet and in poor condition . In fact it was debatable whether it should have been open at all. The teeing areas were appalling. A lot of work needs to be done on this course before the Summer.I would definately not recommend playing this course in the Winter.
