What we say...

It is perhaps testament to the strength of the test that the CG Black is as low as this in the final reckoning – without doubt, the best Cleveland driver we’ve tested for years.

It really is a magnificent all round package, and it starts with glorious black aesthetics. Dave B awarded it a full house for looks, and also noted a pleasing level of feel and oodles of forgiveness. Jon G enjoyed hitting it too but both he and pro James felt it was a little closed at address. Ian said he was delighted at how well he hit and how easy it was to use because the set-up really did inspire confi dence.

Meanwhile it was the longest on test for Dave R thanks to the lightweight shaft and hot face. It is a little on the expensive side and if you’re used to Cleveland woods coming at a lower price this might initially put you off . But it shouldn’t – this is a serious piece of kit that will suit a wide range of golfers. The powerful, towering ball flight will have even the least confi dent golfers excited at the prospect of ripping this off the tee. Superbly forgiving too. All round, a classy product from Cleveland.

Cleveland Drivers User Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 Easy swing great results

    By BA

I have struggled through injury and getting older with hitting good drives having had a long layoff I found I couldn't hit my Ping k15 for reason I don't know. I tried a Cleveland black and just swung real easy boy it was the best feel Ive ever had with a driver,so bought a second hand one. Do I get the distance I used prior to injury no but not far off and without the effort so consistency comes to the fore, the spin off is that I also swing with ease on my irons so again more consistancy with a little loss of distance I am very happy with this driver and would suggest anybody over sixty tries one.

Long and superb shaft, sleek looking head and very very light grip. Best Cleveland driver ever, and I have had 2 before this one.

  • 4 out of 5 Outstanding club....... well done.......CLEVELAND........AT THE AGE OF 62 PUTTING IT OUT

    By Smiling again

Good swings are more than rewarded with length and forgiveness........Tried all the top brand drivers over the years.....All I was getting was a slow and gradual loss of distance......But then I saw this driver in my local driving range......Good looks Even sexy...Yes we old mid handicappers still think like that...Anyway back to the agenda..........This club is pure class.....And the sound is awesome.....Again thank you Cleveland for helping to crunch it 250 yards plus again.
