The Tour Burner is TaylorMade’s new beast for 2008 and a complete redesign from last year’s Burner. Everything has been designed to reduce weight in crucial areas and create an incredibly low CG for the ultimate high launch and low spin flight combo. Visually, the dual crown is striking with a large sole inspiring confi dence behind the ball and the beautifully designed shape and graphics giving it a real touch of quality. TaylorMade claim this is one of their longest and most forgiving drivers with an extremely high MOI and outstanding performance on off-centre hits. All our testers found it easy to hit and our pro stats were textbook, only a yard away from the longest average carry on test.
Pro Verdict: An outstanding club which feels really easy to hit consistently straight. I love the curvy shape of the head and ball-fl ight and distance were very impressive.

Best Driver - Ever!
I've used Taylor Made drivers for many years but this is without doubt the best ever. I tested this and the regular Burner (and a few others) and the Tour Burner came out top in every respect. The distances I've achieved have been amazing and without any loss of accuracy. I paid £140 about 3 months ago but you can definitely pick one up for much less than that now so my advice is to go and get one while you still can! I honestly can't imagine hitting the ball better off the tee than I do with this club and don't see that I will need to change it for many years to come which makes it my best ever golf equipment purchase. Can't say fairer than that really.

Why didn't i buy sooner!!!
I've had Nike, Ping and callaway big dogs in my bag but about 2 months ago i found the burner tour at american golf. 9.5 loft and stiff shaft just sittin there with almost a layer of dust on, with wot i know now i'm howling with laughter inside. What a driver, even though it's the 2008 model i am positive i wont find a better driver for my game for the £129 price tag i paid for it. i feel like i've stolen it. It's long, workable, consistent and the looks, possibly not for everyone but i think it's a cracking looking club. Go to your local American golf store and if they have the loft and shaft combo to fit your game BUY IT, my word wont carry much sway to anyone who doesn't know me but this stranger talk's the truth.

The best driver and most consistant i've ever had - I'm a big hitter
I used to own the Nike Sq Tour 460, I could belt out the 300 yard drive and had a good consistant strike off the face. I really liked it and when I tried Ping and Callaway drivers they just didnt compare. Then I tried the Tour Burner at a demo day. Within a week I'd bought one form my pro, 9.5, super stiff. To put the club behind your ball just feels so right, then when you make contact, its strike and consistant launch give me so much more off the tee. Power is important in my game, and this is the most powerful driver i've ever had, but its the workability i really like about this driver. You really can play the array of shots you need for more challenging courses with a draw/fade/striaght shot. I'd recommend trying before buying anything, but you wont be disappointed with this. A great product, and for a good golfer.

this driver is absolutely fantastic, the way it launch's from the tee is just superb, very easy to hit, try it on a demo day near you, bet you trade in like i did !!!! just bomb away!!!!
