What we say...

Tech:

Adams reckon their “Blue” series makes golf more fun as everything’s been designed to be more friendly to hit. There’s velocity slot technology to create more flex and speed at impact, a low back CG to flight shots easily and new SlimTech shafts that are thinner than others to increase kick at impact.

Our verdict:

Adams positioning of the Blue range as being “fun” and “making the game more enjoyable” is admirable but for us we’re not sure how many golfers play the game just to have fun.  As far as performance goes the Blue was ok, we thought it felt better than expected and the Slim-Tech shafts seemed to impart spin which at slower swing speeds will certainly help launch shots higher and carry further.

The heads a decent size that will inspire confidence without appearing too big or small, we also really liked the two white grooves at the bottom of the club face that help aid alignment at address.

Bottom line:

A new “easy play” concept from Adams that has its merits, particularly the Slim-Tech shafts which work really nicely at slower swing speeds. Are they for the mass market? Probably not, but if your game needs maximum help you won’t be disappointed with the Blue.
