What we say...

The Wilson Di9 irons ooze Ronseal quality – they do exactly what they say on the tin! These distance irons are the follow up to the superb Di7s but are even longer and straighter. The chunkier yet light shaft and powerful looking head were very well recieved.

2010 review:

These are the follow-up bats to the lovely Di7s that were a favourite with the TG readership. Craig actually had this down as his best on test iron and was instantly hooked by the powerful ball flight the Di9s offered. Colin also liked the classic look of the head and the good look at address, as well as the slightly chunky shafts. Alex was less impressed by the fat shaft but, like the others, loved the performance; his dispersion statistic was actually less than five yards – a terrific indication of how accurate these clubs were. We are constantly looking for great bargains, and at less than £350 these are exactly that.

The Wilson Staff Di9 Irons are availble in graphite for £429

Built on the success of the award-winning Di7 irons, the  Di9 offers more distance, more accuracy and more feel through a hot responsive face, high MOI and low CG, as well as a large, forgiving sweetspot. Proprietary wide-tip shafts also generate reduced twisting on impact.

Powerful Head Design: The club head offers a low profile and wide sole that inspires confidence at address. A lower center of gravity produces higher ball flight, while the wide sole moves weight away from the face for greater stability.

Hot Face: A thin, ultra-hot face delivers a competitive ball speed advantage for greater distance.

Lightweight Shaft: The lightweight shafts from True-Temper and UST reduce overall weight for maximum clubhead speed.

Vibration Dampening: A vibration-dampening urethane medallion expands the sweet spot the entire length of the face. It also serves as a shock trap that reduces vibration that travels through the hosel and into the hands.

well I looked in the mags i looked online and had my heart set on new set of ping g10's .So off i went too my local shop again in cardiff which have done me proud with drivers putters etc and after given me there normal help and information that soon went out the window. After spending an hour annoying the assistant trying different models and hitting some in the net I picked these as they just  felt great, looked good and i really  hoped they would help me bring my game on .the answer came stright away ! YES!.I am hitting further than ever and finding myself smiling when it comes too an iron shot as I know it is going on where I want it and as far as I want it.They look good in my bag and after 6 months playing I am off 20 now and it is down mostly to these clubs and the big smile I have on my face every time I reach for one from my bag :)
