What we say...

The TaylorMade Rossa Monza Spider Vicino Putter is the company's latest putt-making advancement. It is designed to sit between the Monza Spider and the Itsy Bitsy Monza in terms of size while also being more aesthetically pleasing and better hiding the game-improving technology it features.

To make it sleeker without losing MOI the engineers used a lightweight polymer core in the centre (104g lighter than the original model) and a heavier steel frame (114g heaver) for the wings. These changes allow the adjustable weight ports to be closer together but at the same time improve the look of the putter.

Vicino also incorporates a new composite AGSI+ insert. Past Rossa inserts consisted of Titallium, a lightweight alloy composed of seven metals, Monza Spider Vicino's insert is made of carbon fibre and resin, like a graphite shaft. The advantage of the composite insert is that it flexes and "holds" the ball in its grooves more effectively at impact, promoting more forwardspin.

The composite insert is also lighter than its predecessor, allowing for the redistribution of 3g to the perimeter. TaylorMade testing indicates that the composite AGSI+ insert promotes up to 30 RPM more forwardspin compared to the Titallium AGSI+ insert.
