NEW GEAR: Mizuno MP-5 and MP-25 Irons

Mizuno has unveiled two new iron models to their team of Tour pros at St Andrews this week
We don’t know all of the details, but we do know the new MP-5s have a new ‘Channelback’ design which places more weight behind the hitting area. It’s not quite a blade and is similar to the MP-64s and will be available from September 1.
The new MP-25, which look absolutely stunnin, are created by the company’s Boron Forged process which increases and heightens feel. The iron features a micro-slot behind the face to increase face flex – Mizuno say this is the hottest forged iron they’ve ever created.
And if you’re into exoticshafts Mizuno won’t be charging any upcharges for custom-fit shafts whice is an interesting ploy. Expect to see these in good golf shops from September 1.
