TaylorMade reveals most stable putter yet

TaylorMade has revealed the Daddy Long Legs+ putter, saying it’s the most stable design they’ve ever created.

This counter-balanced model has a high MOI head, a SuperStroke grip and 125g of counterbalancing to maximise stability through the stroke.

TaylorMade says the The DLL+ puts 200% more weight above the hands to raise the balance point two inches to allow greater control of the heavier head.

Crafted with feedback from TaylorMade Tour players – including Jason Day, who used one at the US Open – the new head features updated styling with a sleek matte black and satin grey non-glare finish, with contrasting alignment lines.

Another feature of the Daddy Long Legs+ putter is TaylorMade’s new deep-milled 6061 13-gram aluminium insert is engineered to deliver a crisp, clean feel off the face and a smooth, accurate roll. The rough surface of the insert also softens the sound at impact.

“With Daddy Long Legs+, the stability and performance of our counterbalance putters have been taken to the next level,” said Clay Long, Senior Director of Product Creation, Putters. “We’ve taken one of our most popular putters of all time and added performance features to deliver a remarkably stable putting stroke, which golfers of all abilities can benefit from.”

The complex construction of the Daddy Long Legs+ features 17 individual pieces, engineered to create the most stable face-balanced putter in the TaylorMade lineup.

Available mid-July, rrp £199. Offered in 34.5” or 36” with SuperStroke XL 2.0 grip.
