Under Armour unveil new golf range

Fresh off the back of Jordan Spieth’s second major triumph of the year, his sponsor Under Armour has unveiled its latest collection – as worn by the current Masters and US Open champion.

They say it’s ‘packed with trademark performance innovations never seen before in golf, and the lineup gives golfers all the tools to combat the heat and shoot low scores’.

Spieth, 22, is an integral part of the clothing brand’s move into golf, having signed an unprecedented 10-year contract with the company earlier this year.

“They took a chance on me,” Spieth said, adding he also visited “a lot of other” apparel companies before deciding to sign with Under Armour.

“I thought they perfectly complemented me,” he said. “It’s a dream come true for me. I loved wearing Under Armour even before the signing of the contract.”

For summer 2015, ArmourVent mesh keeps you cool out on the course thanks to a unique engineered mesh ventilation technology. The ArmourVent Tips Polo (£60) delivers breathability in a light, stretchy, durable, fast-drying fabric and in a range of colours.

Under Armour’s signature Moisture Transport System helps to wick sweat away from the body while its own Anti-Odor technology keeps you smelling fresh.

Coldblack technology, which offers UV protection from the sun, returns for 2015 across a number of new styles and colour options.

Trousers (£50) and shorts (£40) featuring an elasticated waistband are also available, and when it’s cooler and you need a thin top layer to keep you warm, Under Armour has the Infrared Heartbeat half-zip (£55). It is said to be Under Armour’s warmest, thinnest and lightest top-layer yet.
