Let’s rid golf of slow play… for good!

Sick to death of slow play? You’re not alone. You’re sick of it; we’re sick of it; the pros are sick of it – all golfers are sick of it.

“Slow play is a cancer that’s killing the game,” says top coach and Sky Sports pundit Denis Pugh.

94% of British golf clubs believe they have a problem with slow play. The other 6% are either in denial or just very lucky.

For far too long, there’s been too much moaning about the problem of slow play and not enough actually doing anything about it. Until now…

We took one ordinary golf club under our wing and helped them cure their slow play problem. In the space of a month, we helped Chesfield Downs reduce the time it takes to play a round there by 30 minutes. And that wasn’t them just racing round to prove a point; that was done in a monthly medal, normally the epicentre of lengthy pre-shot routines and lining up one-foot putts for several minutes.

“The results were fantastic and we are delighted,” says club captain Andy Ward.

And the best news of all? You can follow the exact same system Chesfield Downs used at your own club. Simply click here for your FREE copy of the Stop Slow Play Plan. It’s a solution that can – and should – be implemented at every golf club. Get your friends to do it; get your club to do it – we really can banish slow play for good.

There’s no excuse for putting up with rounds that take four and a half or five hours. There is a cure for slow play, now it’s just down to golf clubs to use it – and you can help make sure that happens.

You can read the full story on the Chesfield Downs trial in the new issue of TG, out August 7.
