Golfing greats lined up for the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open

Turkish Airlines, voted best airline in Europe four years consecutively, is pleased to be sponsoring this year’s Ladies Open, scheduled to take place at Carya Golf Club, Belek, Antalya in just a few days’ time. This highly prestigious tournament is one of the most important calendar dates in the Ladies European Tour calendar, which runs throughout the whole year, and players from all over the world are shortly due to arrive in Turkey in preparation for the much anticipated event. The competition takes place between 17th and 20th May 2015.
Golfing greats including Laura Davies, Melissa Reid and Kylie Walker are all included in this years’ line up which looks set to be one of the most exciting tournaments yet. The winner from the 2014 tournament, Valentine Derry, will also be in attendance aiming to hold on to the title. The overall field consists of 126 professional women golf players from 32 countries. The world famous Carya Golf Club, a par 72 course which sits on Turkey’s Mediterranean Coast, plays host to the event for the 7th year running and is one of the best known and most popular clubs at the very heart of Turkey’s golf coast.
This annual tournament, supported again by Turkish Airlines, has helped to raise the profile of golf within Turkey and this sport in particular continues to gain in popularity.
