Henningsson leads graduates at Q School

Swede Oskar Henningsson has won the European Tour Q School at PGA Catalunya, Spain, and been joined by 32 other players in earning their cards.

Henningsson has barely been off the top of the leaderboard all week and finished with a 69, his fifth round of the week in the 60s, for a four shot victory from Austrailian Wade Ormsby and Carlos Del Moral of Spain.

The top 30 plus ties earned their cards and very few players moved in or out of that magic group during the final round.

English starlets Danny Willett and Chris Wood qualified comfortably and there were encouraging signs for Scottish golf as Andrew Coltart, Chris Doak, David Drysdale and Callum MacAulay all booked their places on the Race to Dubai.

Other notable stories included former Ryder-Cupper Joakim Haeggman regaining his card and Michael McGeady bogeying the final hole to miss out by a single shot.
