US Open: The Latest Odds

Published:

Golf’s four major championships always draw out golf fans looking to make the tournament that bit more interesting by placing a few quid on their favourites, or perhaps somebody that’s been tipped.

Well with the US Open at Merion getting underway tomorrow, you’ve not got long left to back your man.

Tiger Woods is the headline favourite across all bookmakers, with 888sport offering 11/2 for him to win and 5/4 for him to place inside the top-5.

Graeme McDowell is a previous US Open winner and there’s a lot of chatter about this course being well-suited to him, with a tempting 19/1 on offer for him to win.

Sergio Garcia is currently making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with Colin Montgomerie stating this week that is he achieves a top-10 finish he will have done brilliantly given the media circus that has surrounded him. His long odds of 39/1 to win perhaps reflect this.

Given the emphasis on accuracy and short game Luke Donald could be worth a punt. 888sport are offering an industry best priced 8/1 that he claims a top-5.

Other 888sport industry best top-5 placed odds:

Charl Schwartzel – 7/1
Sergio Garcia – 8/1
Keegan Bradley – 11/1
Louis Oosthuizen – 12/1
Rickie Fowler – 12/1
Hunter Mahan – 14/1
Henrik Stenson – 15/1
Ernie Els – 19/1
Ian Poulter – 19/1
