Fantasy Golf: Shriners Hospital for Children Open

The PGA Tour heads to Las Vegas for week two of the 2015 season. With Canyons and cactus aplenty, TPC Summerlin on Nevada’s border has the perfect desert feel.

There are few demons in Bobby Weed’s 7,255-yard par 71 layout with the stage set for late drama at the closing four holes which all feature some risk/reward element.

Scoring was low last year as Webb Simpson matched Ryan Moore’s 72-hole record total from a year earlier (260) to claim his fourth PGA Tour title by six shots. The 2013 renewal also saw J.J. Henry break the course record with a 60 in round one.

Here’s the Team TG line-up this week…

Hideki Matsuyama, £2.8m
Impressive start to the season last week with a t-3 at the Frys.Com Open. He’s ready to build on a breakthrough 2014 that saw him scoop his maiden title and make the Tour Championship.

Webb Simpson, £2.6m
Defending champ is impossible to ignore. His last eight rounds at Summerlin have all been 68 or better.

Ryan Moore, £1.7m
Loves it in Vegas. Former University of Nevada student lifted this trophy in 2012 and was ninth last year.

Ryo Ishikawa, £1.1m
Tied-19th last week represented a solid start to the season and he was runner-up here last year.

Daniel Summerhays, £0.9m
Steady start to the season with four rounds of par or better last week. Five sub-70 rounds in his 10 previous here, including a second round 63 in 2012.

Brendan Steele, £0.9m
Tied-21st last week and has a decent record here. T-57, t-13, t-16 in three previous visits.
