It’s happened to us all – you’re playing well, making pars, when you’re faced with a hole playing into the wind. Your natural response to the 25mph gusts is to think “I’ll hit it harder”, but that just sends the ball out of bounds.
In this video, former European Tour player Oliver Whiteley, based at Bramall Park GC, Stockport, explains how to drive into the wind.
