Not actually the oldest course in the Algarve – that honour belongs to Penina – but considered the ‘Grand Dame’ of golf in the area. It remains much the same as Frank Pennink left it in 1969 – a rolling parkland lined by tall pine trees. For many, the centrepiece to any trip to the Algarve.
