Pestana Silves Golf Course

Last Updated:

What we say

It is the “archetype” of man-sized parkland golf. Most holes of Silves offer a spectacular mountain and valley view, overlooking palm trees, olive groves and small farms. The severity of the bunkering is enough defence against the onslaught of the games big guns.

Golf: Handicap Limits: 27 Men / 35 Ladies

  • 4 out of 5 A gem

    By Brian Everitt

Played this course 5 times now and enjoyed the experience each time what a great little gem looking forward to 2015 when I will be back there.

  • 3 out of 5 Will be a gem - Just not yet

Played this course a couple of times and without doubt it is improving. The course is hilly, in excellent condition given its newness, and i would say within 3 years will be a gem as suggested by previous reviewer. There are some terrific holes that certainly have the wow factor, including I think the 11th or 12th Par 5. Downside the current "clubhouse". The clubhouse is nothing more than a shack for 1 man and his dog. A new clubhouse is to be started but no date set as far as i can see.

  • 3.5 out of 5 will be nice course in few years

this course was new when i played it and is owned by pestana chain. IT has a few hills on it and was just growing in, but whilst there I noticed the same guy working on the first fairway at start of round and end of round so that shows howq much attention they are giving it. think it could well be a hidden gem in few years
