  • 4.5 out of 5 one to play, just not too often!!

This is definitley a course you want to play if you are in this area, however it has such a tough opening eight holes that you had better take lots of golf balls. The 7th and 8th holes in particular are test's that I defy even low handicappers to complete without at least one ball being put in the drink!!

as soon as you turn up and see the course beneath you you know your in for a fun day! water everywhere!! front 9 very hard  back 9 a little easier only downside tee's were in poor condition. best to buy the course guide as alot of hidden water to catch slightly wayward shots

Picture this scenario. An old man walks to his friend and says "Quinta do vale it was a very good course". Then his friend turns around ( and then he purposely coughs) and says "Haydock!".

  • 4.5 out of 5 Wow - stock up on balls

This is a beast. When the wind blows (which is usually does) this is a long and difficult course, especially the front nine. Huge amounts of water everywhere on the 1st 7 holes makes driving the ball particularly difficult. The back nice is a little more playable as you wind through the hills. The course plays much longer than its yardage because of the 6 par 3's. Still a new track that needs time to settle in, especially the fairways. However, the greens are already very good and will only improve with age. Overall, an interesting course that I am glad I don't have to play every day!
