What we say
If the front-nine was as good as the back-nine it would be in everyone’s top 10. One of the world’s most dramatic golf settings. There are higher-ranked ‘championship’ courses that have at least as many weak holes. Recent work helps this clifftop-come-links of two halves move up in the Top 100 list.
The Tralee Golf Club is a combination of the Arnold Palmer design and the natural beauty make Tralee one of the most testing, yet most satisfying golf courses you could possibly play. It doesn't really have a weak link but what it does provide is the perfect golfing day out and afterwards you'll want to do it all over again.
Much of the epic, Ryan's Daughter was filmed in the bay below the 3rd green of a course that is rugged, wild and eccentric. "Created by God, designed by Arnold Palmer," it says on the scorecard of the King's first European layout. That just about sums it up.
Tralee opened in October 1984 and was the first European golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. When Arnie first saw the area on which the golf couse was to be built, he was ecstatic about the possibilities. "I've never come across a piece of land so ideally suited for the building of a golf course. I designed the first nine but surely God designed the back nine," he quipped before adding: "I'm happy that we have one of the worlds' great golf links here."

tralee in my opinion is the one of the best links course in the south of ireland.. arnold palmer designed and true to form, the course is exciting and special..the back nine have to be some of the finest golf holes ever created...a must play for the serious golfer visiting kerry..can't wait to get back.
We played a 2 ball in October, the welcome was great and facilities fantastic. The course was in great condition and proved to be a real challenge in the very windy conditions. There are many memorable holes and views around the course. We went into the clubhouse for some food and were pleasantly suprised at how reasonable it was. All in all, a great experince which I would recommend to everyone.
