Arrived for a 8am tee on the 1st May, 09 and it was absolutely pouring down with rain. Met by club secretary who made us all a cup of tea and opened up the snooker room, promising us the weather would clear soon, great irish hospitality. Within an hour we were out playing in sunshine and clear skies. The Greens and fairways were excellent, but the one thing this course lacks is maturity but the scenery is outstanding, a par 3 on the back 9, beside the river was particularly stunning. In about 10-15 years all the trees and shrubs will have matured giving each whole its own secluded identity.  Saying that, this course is not easy, pin placements and bunker positioning would challenge the lowest of handicappers. This course was pleasure to play and i would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Waterford area. The hospitality from everyone at the club was excellent, well done Dungarvan. Paul Sullivan, Surrey.
