Estepona Golf Club

What we say

Estepona Golf Club, a hilly 18-holer, was opened in 1989. The golf course enjoys great views to both sides, with strong vistas to the sea to the south east and The Sierra Bermeja mountain range inland. Generous fairways and greens make this one of the more friendly golf courses on the Costa del Sol; better players, head to the back tees to take on a stronger challenge.

This is one of the cheapest courses you’ll play on the Costa Del Sol and you need to ask yourself why this might be the case before booking. Always viewed as a banker for play and play – again ask yourself why this might be the case. Although it’s now 5/6 years since I played here, the over-riding memories I have are of a downhill par 5 that must surely be reachable in one by the big hitters and of a generally scruffy course, with very little attention to detail paid by the greenstaff. Would I play it again? No, not unless I was desperate. Would I recommend it? That depends whether you’re desperate!
