Dave Thomas (Belfry, San Roque) forged Marbella Club Golf Resort, a fun 18-holer out of the Benahavis foothills. The 1999 layout has plenty of lakes and elevation changes to keep the golf course varied and challenging. Great views of the mountains and sea keep up the visual interest, while pines and corks scent the air. A golf course where you'll need every club in the bag.

    Have played this course 12 times, once a year, every year since going out to Spain. Walked it the first time, never again. It is a rugged course, lots of high tees down to narrow fairways. Spectacular views and a stunning clubhouse. The waiters need to cheer up and learn how to add up the bar bill accurately
