Benalup Golf & Country Club, opened in 2001, breaks out into the wilderness between Sotogrande and Jerez. The golf course sits on hills overlooking the Jerez plains and the massive, dry Laguna de la Janda, with Africa visible in the distance. Water hazards and sloping lies set up the test, with the long, sweeping 13th probably the pick of the bunch.
