Tom Doak’s first design in Scotland is sat on pristine golfing land between Muirfield and North Berwick, on the banks of the Firth of Forth. It only opened in 2008, yet Doak has been back to refine the layout. For a modern links, very little earth was moved to create The Renaissance and perhaps because it uses the natural contours it has matured especially quickly.
