Praia D’el Rey

There are very few genuine links courses in Continental Europe, but this is one.

It is not entirely a seaside course, moving inland into sections more woodland in nature at times, but as you can see from this image, at other points it is gloriously sandy.

With an on-site Marriott hotel, it makes for a very pleasant golf break in the sun – especially when taken in conjunction with the other courses in the Lisbon area.

As well as the popular Quinta da Marinha complex, Estoril and Penha Longha, there are terrific less well-known venues such as Oitavos Dunes and Troia.
