Ely City Golf Club

What we say

The general condition of the course is very good, with the greens excellent and the fairways lush. The back nine layout is particularly good: the last three holes providing a great finish. There’s also a good clubhouse and facilities. The star hole is the 370-yard, par-4 17th. A steep uphill drive has to be fairly straight to avoid trees on each side, and the second shot is across a valley to an elevated two-tier green, guarded by bunkers on both sides and a water hazard on the right to punish a fade or slice.

With the growth of many trees and the compact nature of the layout, Ely City Golf Club's golf course demands straight driving and accurate iron play.

The sub soil is clay which means it is always green and in excellent condition during the summer months and with the addition of both green and fairway drainage is now very playable throughout the winter period.
