What we say
Woodbridge Golf Club oozes quality and pedigree and not surprisingly is regularly used for top amateur events. Lovers of heathland golf will adore Woodbridge and James Braid's re-worked Heath course certainly represents good value. The holes are beautifully crafted and varied, making it a true test of golf. We particulary liked the 315-yard 2nd which underlines the fact that a par 4 doesn't have to be long to be good. It's based on sandy, free-draining terrain so is in top nick all-year round.
Woodbridge Golf Club is a traditional members club with classic Suffolk heathland courses. The main 18 hole Heath Course is a thoroughly enjoyable experience (for a golfer with a handicap certificate). There is also a full length 9 hole course, the Forest Course, which is suitable for all standards.
The club is situated in the Suffolk Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that bursts into colour throughout the year. Golf has been played here for over 100 years and the natural drainage means that the courses are playable all the year round – exceptional quality and real value for money.
Excellent amenities from the modern changing areas, well stocked bar and restaurant to the Professional shop, teaching opportunities and first class practice facilities.
