It may lack length and holes, but the golf course here at the Glossop & District Golf Club is definitely not a stroll in the park and should not be underestimated. It presents a stern golfing challenge to players of all abilities and handicaps and, rest assured, if you take your eye off the ball here you'll be severely punished.

Key to a successful outing at Glossop is patience and good golf course management. You'll be delighted to know then that this tricky little 12 holer has alternative tees, making it possible to play as an 18 holer.

There is an on-course dress code (no jeans), but the clubhouse is casual and jeans are allowed and although you won't find a driving range, the club boasts a short game academy plus a Protee simulator for tuition and practice.
