Maywood Golf Club

What we say

Designed and built by Peter Moon, Maywood Golf Club opened in 1990 as a 9 hole course, and was then extended to an 18 hole course in 1992.

This course features a lot of variation in elevation, as well as water hazards and trees to be avoided, with greens well protected by bunkers.

What a surprise to find a coarse were every hole has a different challenge. The staff were warm and friendly and the views were panoramic from the 2nd green.

Played the course recently with friends, found it well maintained all round with some nice views. Greens ran very smoothly with some very difficult reads. Staff and members were both very friendly, great vfm.

One of the best maintained courses in the area. Played this course couple of times in the last few weeks and most defiantly will be returning in the near future. Friendly welcome, both by the staff and the members. To what I can gather from talking to the members there have been year on year improvements.

I have played this golf course a dozen times over the last 10 years or so. I played in a 4 ball last month and the course is now in brilliant condition and is a real test of course management. The welcome is very friendly and relaxed, the club house is very well appointed and the members also make you feel at home. 2 main downers, the first 3 holes can take an age to play due to the lay out and having to wait to play the 2nd hole - and the stroke index's are very puzzling. All in all a great course and with the 2 for 1 vouchers great value, going again this coming Friday.

  • 2 out of 5 no sprinklers= dry course

    By steve a 007

a dry course with small greens ,it's very hard to hold the greens and you often end up over the green.all the course records have all been set late in the year when it's wet. if you can hit the island green on the back nine in two you done well.also there are no sprinklers on the course
