Your Reviews

  • 2 out of 5 Funny how it took 6 years to reply!!!!!

This is a review site! Not a complaint forum or somewhere for you to give yourself 5 stars. Why should I come and complain in person? This is a review of my day which wasn't great. How is it anonymous when you can see my username?????? Please accept that not everyone has a great day and that issues arise, don't take it personally.

  • 1 out of 5 Poor, poor condition

    By James

Was very disappointed with condition of the course with the prices charged for visitors. Morley Hayes is 10times better in condition and value.

We are anything but snobs here at Mickleover and welcome all visitors. If someone has had a bad experience we would expect that grievance to be taken up with our Professional or Managing Secretary rather than posting anonymously on a review site. As for the 2-fore-1 'con', we have repeatedly (many years) requested to be removed the site as accepting the vouchers as this wasn't in our business model, and this has only just happened. We have an online booking system which offers golfers reduced greenfees/4ball rates depending on their desired playing time, very visitor friendly.

  • 1.5 out of 5 Pure snobbery

I intended to join and went for round, god im glad i didnt join. The course is nothing great and the members look at you like youve got 3 eyes. The course is very over priced perhaps so the likes of us dont play and when you are prepared to pay it they look down there noses at you. Havent played this course since and probably would play again even if free.

  • 1 out of 5 not in the spirit of 2-fore-1!

Very disappointed with this course. Green fees £20 in March. So believed we would get a 2-fore-1 round of £20 split between 2. However when we arrived we were informed that when 2 4 1 vouchers are used they charge the day fee of £40 (but you can't play for the day only for a round)!! So in reality we were handing over the voucher and still paying what we would have if we had just booked as visitors!! Totally against the idea of 2 4 1 and I will not be visiting this money grabbing course again. Personally I think 2 fore 1 should scratch this course from its books as they obviously are trying to discourage or con 2 fore 1 users.

this is a stunning course it is not very lond but it is incredibly tricky with all of its dog logs and sloped greens. this course would be enjoyable for anyone to play on.
