Stoke Albany Golf Club

What we say

It’s as flat as a pancake so is popular among senior golfers. Fairways are relatively wide and the rough is usually cut down so big hitters will enjoy the chance to let rip apart from around the turn and coming down the stretch. Water and OB feature on these holes, particularly the par-5 10th which is a potential card wrecker.

On a course that usually plays well year-round, bunkers aren’t a massive problem though the undulating greens can be difficult to read.

Designed by Hawtree, Stoke Albany Golf Club's golf course appeals to all standards of golfer. Set in beautiful, picturesque and peaceful Welland Valley parkland, the golf course drains freely and the well-contoured greens are played on all year round.

  • 3 out of 5 Bunker Trouble

    By Dick

We had a nice round on a day when there weren't many others on the course. the greens were in good condition as were the fairways, but oh dear the bunkers. almost every bunker had standing water in it - this is august in a relatively dry summer. what sand was visible was very hard and in a number the sand had gone and you were down to rocks and stones. this part of the course clearly needs some attention which is a shame.
