Whittlebury Park Golf & Country Club

What we say

Home of one of the biggest clubhouses in Europe, unfortunately the 27 holes of golf don’t quite match up to its surroundings. However, there are some good holes such as the 1st and 8th on the Royal Whittlewood nine-hole loop. and you’ll find some classic holes on the 1905 track. Unusual shaped bunkers are prominent throughout, particularly the 4th on the Grand Prix nine.

Whittlebury Park Golf & Country Club is a great golfing venue, steeped in history and tradition. It provides 27 holes of quality parkland golf ranging from the historic 1905 golf course to the gently undulating grasslands of the Grand Prix golf course.

Set in the magnificent Oak Parkland that was once part of the Royal Whitllewood forest, Whittlebury Park offers a nine-hole Academy golf course and excellent practice facilities, including a nine-hole synthetic putting green.
Golf courses summary;

The 1905 or Yellow golf course - built on the Whittlebury Estate in 1905, golfers enjoy playing between the magnificent lakes and oaks in the parkland;

The Royal Whittlewood or Red golf course - plays around the remaining copses of the ancient Royal Whittlewood Forest, home to an abundance of flora and fauna, which made the forest a favourite hunting ground of Medieval Kings.

The Grand Prix or Blue golf course: This plays over the gently undulating grassland adjacent to the world-famous Silverstone race track aching with interesting lake features and wildlife sanctuaries providing many testing holes.

    Played there on 13th Nov 2009 as part of a society day. The greeting wasnt very good - ran out of coffee & cups and didnt seem to want to get replacements. Day was wet & windy but the Tees & Greens were in good, just a pity about all the worm holes all over the fairways - you can see where they have cut costs!

    Great courses, lots of great training facilities including a 'Dart Fish' software room (tracks the balls flight on a special range bay), just don't thin a wedge on the 9th hole on the blue course or the 9th hole on the yellows, some of you will know what i mean.
