Pike Hills Golf Club

What we say

Pike Hills Golf Club lies about three miles south west of the historic and beautiful city of York and celebrated its Centenary in 2004. A parkland golf course, with tree-lined fairways, built around Askham Bog, which has been designated a site of special scientific interest. As you make the short walk from the 6th green to the 7th tee you will suddenly find yourself in a little wilderness - the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, Askham Bog Nature Reserve.

It is not the longest golf course around, but when the fairways have been negotiated, some of the trickiest greens in the north of England await you. This is when the good putter comes to the fore. Altogether it makes Pike Hills a most enjoyable golf course and at the same time, a testing game for golfers of all abilities.

    By pedrogolf

i have played there a couple of times and this time was the best, thanks to the course staff and Mr Ken Pitchford the rabbits captain, fitted us in at the last minute . greens where best ive played all year-fast and you could realy hit a ball into the pins.also we had the pleasure of winning the rabbits open, so be backnext year to defend the title!

  • 2.5 out of 5 good course but staff let it down a bit im affraid

    By muggsy

course was good,in good condition and very enjoyable to pay,but unfortunatly staff were evidence that there is still a bit of snobiness left in golf as someone ran out of clubhose to stop my playing partner teeing off on 1st tee as his shirt had become slightly un-tucked from his trousers at back,,,big crissis i guess.this was after they had just charged me £8 for a pair of white socks as i had shorts on with sky blue socks on,,

  • 3.5 out of 5 Good value

Decent course, good value for money. A little short in places that can slow play.
