Selby Golf Club

What we say

This JH Taylor-designed heathland track has four very special par 3s. The 140-yard 2nd is particularly good. You hit over a large tree and fence to a well-guarded green. With so much heather and gorse and most fairways tree-lined, it’s imperative to hit it straight off the tee.

Selby Golf Club was established in 1907, and is owned by its members, operating as a non-profit making limited company. The course is an 18 hole 'links style' built on sandy soil, which gives the benefit of good drainage. In November 1998 there was a fairway irrigation system installed, and this, combined with the sandy soil means that the course should be in good condition in both summer and winter.
