Bamburgh Castle Golf Club

What we say

A short-but-sweet links which guarantees fun but fair holiday golf – several birdie opportunities are likely to be on offer provided you don’t get too distracted by the breathtaking castle views.

Bamburgh Castle Golf Club was constructed in 1904 on Kittling hillside overlooking the village, its  early development owing much to the patronage of Bamburgh Castle’s owner Lord Armstrong, though it’s now owned by the club – it was  bought by the members in 1999. The golf course is a demanding 68 and has six par 3s, the pick of the crop being th e stroke index 1 6th, a 224 yards uphiller!

Accommodation: The Swinhoe South Farmhouse in Alnwick and The Old Ship Inn in Seahouses.
