Newbiggin Golf Course

Last Updated:

What we say

Fast-draining Newbiggin, Northumberland’s second oldest course, tends to be open for play when many neighbouring courses have been forced to close owing to bad weather. With tight fairways and several ‘blind’ holes, its crucial to be straight, particularly off the tee, while the greens are fairly ‘nippy’ even at this time of year.

We extend a very warm welcome to all players and visitors coming to Newbiggin Golf Club.

The course itself is a very challenging 18 hole seaside links/moorland course. It presents an interesting array of tight fairways, blind holes and very true greens (some in double format) all presented in excellent condition. If the wind decides to join in then it can become even more interesting.

It is the second oldest course in Northumberland preceded only by Alnmouth Village. It has given its members 125 years of marvellous GOLF over the years..
