What we say

Boldon Golf Club was founded in 1912 in the village of East Boldon, Sunderland. A long established club approaching it's centenary year, the traditions of the game are still very much respected but a modern friendly approach to contemporary life and the enjoyment of golf is offered. 

The course, designed by six time Open Champion, Harry Vardon, has panoramic views of the North East coast line, the cities of Sunderland and Newcastle and offers a test to golfers of all abilities. Located on the outskirts of the city of Sunderland, situated only one mile from the A19 and less than three miles south of the Tyne Tunnel, we are easily accessible from the north east's motorway network. Visitors and guests to the Club are always assured of a warm welcome.

    Great course 2 play with various challenges, staff were friendly on arrival, make sure u hav cash as don't accept cards, found the course was well maintained and looked after with greens running very good, u start off with a par 4 which u can only use an iron but a nice lay up and your on your way, defo will b returning for another round.

    Played this course last Thurs with a colleague and was pleasantly surprised.The course was in good condition nice fairway definition.Its quite an easy start with two par 3 s on the first 5 holes but then it gets more difficult. Met some of the members and they seened friendly enough giving us tips as we progressed.Must say the food in the friendly clyb house wad outstanding snd the young lass serving us wad great.All in all had fun and look forward to playing it again.
