Whitley Bay Golf Course

Last Updated:

What we say

Demanding but fair par-72 seaside course – it’s within half-mile of the coast so the wind is usually a big factor. The gently undulating fairways are fairly generous though lined by a combination of rough, gorse and mature trees. Key feature is the Briardene burn which features on four holes.

Established in 1890, then moved to it's current location in 1906, Whitley Bay Golf Club, situated half a mile from the coast, offers an 18 hole course, featuring mature trees, numerous bunkers, and some hazards presented by Brierdene Burn, resulting in a challenging game for golfers of any ability.
