Normanton Golf Club

What we say

Normanton Golf Club has a decent, if new, golf course that provides a good test of golf. There’s also a wonderful old stately house for a clubhouse complete with balcony overlooking the 18th. Star hole is the par-5 9th – a splendid dogleg right.

Designed in 1992 by Patrick Dawson, the golf course occupies about 145 acres of the Hatfeild Hall Estate and incorporates impressive lakes and mature trees. The large undulating greens are built to USGA specification.

Accommodation:
The Holiday Inn at Oulton.

Your Reviews

  • 4 out of 5 Definitely one to play the PGA seem to agree.

This course has now matured over the past few years to become the outstanding course in the area, this coupled with a warm welcome in the club house by the professional unit of Mike and Jen the stewards and stewardess and there staff. Couple all this with the BRS online booking service and menu pricing providing comprehensive and highly competitive packages, this is the place to play and take your society or away day or just pay and play As a final endorsement for the course and club the norther qualifier for the PGA has now been held there for the past 3 years, enough said.

Played on Good Friday , this year . Course was in reasonable condition and the greens had been heavily spiked . Still charged us £35.00 a round ( to much considering you can't put properly when its like that) , sp areduction in fee , should have been the order of the day . Some nice holes , but to expensive at £35.00.
