Richmond Park Golf Club – Princes Course

Richmond Park Golf Course is a daily fee golf course, open to the public without restrictions of membership requirements. You simply turn up and enjoy your game on our two beautifully maintained 18-hole courses.

Princes is not as long as Dukes but it's much more undulating, giving excellent views across the park and some demanding approach shots.

The stream only comes into play on one or two holes, but the greens are well contoured with some subtle breaks, so sound putting is essential.
The sixteenth can be a real round destroyer. Downhill, with out of bounds right and a solid wall of trees left. The green is protected by two bunkers in front and surrounded by slopes.

  The management (John in particular) are arrogant, money driven, and clearly do not care about golf or their customers. Start following a tee-time booking system and stop trying to just get as many people through the door as possible! I played the course 4-5 times last year and never finished under 5 hours. I agreed to play with a friend and give it another chance this weekend, nothing has changed. We walked off the course after 3 hours having played 8 holes. 20mins waiting on each tee box is ridiculous. At one point 5 groups were all playing the same hole. NEVER GOING BACK.

  NO LONGER TAKE 2-FORE-1 VOUCHERS AND HAVEN'T DONE FOR 2 YEARS!   Not a bad pay and play course, the numbers in the review don't quite do it justice.   Holes have good variety.  Very dry, even in Spring, so may be very dry in Summer, greens quite bobbly as a result.  Club house facilities not great and welcome was bit bizarre!

  Rochmond park offers 2 courses princes and dukes, the princes starts off with a silly par 3 and the 2nd is played in to the morning sun (if your a morning person) personally I prefer the dukes course but the princes offers an alternative option on both courses the greens are reasonably paced and well maintained.

  Think my review is tarnished by the fact there was a group of 6 aussies in front of us. They were drinking on the course, littering, not abiding by course rules and slowing up play. The course is decent enough for a practice round, just try to avoid teeing off behind drunk antipodeans.
