Cherry Lodge Golf Club

What we say

Founded in 1968, Cherry Lodge Golf Club is a private members' club set in 130 acres on the north downs, some 600ft above sea level.

At 6,652 yards the undulating par 72 golf course enjoys spectacular views over the surrounding Kent countryside while providing a challenging test for golfers of all standards.

The superb practice area is a short distance from the clubhouse and allows every club in the bag to be worked with.

Members and guests can sample a wide selection of refreshments while reviewing their game in either the lounge bar, spike bar or Cherry Lodge's superb elevated patio area overlooking the 18th green.

  • 3 out of 5 Be really nice when it's finished

A hidden gem situated on the rolling north downs not too far from biggin hill, this is a nice course with undulating fairways and some of the nicest quality greens i have ever played on, if i lived in the area i would definatley want to play this place again, the one draw back to this place, and it's a big one is the ongoing improvement work. they are currently renovating all the tees, putting in new ones and building their own driving range so the place is a bit of a building site, and the noise can be distracting. several of the tees on the par 3's have been moved up and are playing more like a pitch and putt, barely 100 yards. and they have changes to the direction of some of the holes so my gps was out on several occasions. as i was using a voucher for this day out, i was not disapointed with the cost, but i was also not told of the renovations when i booked, the pro shop is not very well equipped and there were no course planners available which would have been really helpful. the work is going to continue for another year and i look forward to returning when it is finished.

I play the course regularly and I must say the transformation of the past couple of years has been fantastic.  The greens an fairways are in great on condition and the course is being superbly maintained. The course is a great test and will keep your interest all the way through, the small greens for the courses length are a challenge. The friendly staff are always welcoming

Wow this is a long course, friendly atmosphere. Good test of golf. Played here a few years ago looks like this is a club on the up

worst course i have played.£40 a round and the tees are the terrible.boring course that finishes with a 270 yard par 4.the only thing it has going for it is that the greens are ok.for the green fee there are much better courses locally i.e.westerham or shirley park
