Surrey courses offering golf for under 20 quid are about as rare as snow on Christmas Day, so Mitcham is someting of an exception. This pleasant Old Tom Morris-designed surprise won’t be the most testing or inspirational course you’ll ever play, but you do need to keep the ball arrow-straight off the tee while finding the tiny greens is no easy task either.

Opened as a public golf course in 1925, having previously been private, Mitcham Golf Club offers an 18 hole parkland course. The course features some mature trees and a large number of strategically-placed bunkers, meaning the course will present any level of golfer with a challenge.
