Dartmouth Golf & Country Club – Championship Course

What we say

Home of a challenging undulating parkland layout with an impressive combination of holes and a terrific set of par-3s including a magical 3rd played from an elevated tee – the green dangerously lurks beyond a lake – and thrilling par-3 finale over a water-filled valley. Part-owned by FA chairman Greg Dyke, Dartmouth is a wonderful all round venue with an on-site hotel and excellent facilities.

Dartmouth Golf & Country Club boasts a top golf course with a superb variety of holes, Dartmouth G&CC is always in good condition and, after playing it, you’re bound to want to return. A trio of holes in particular stand out – the do-or-die par-3 3rd and 18th which are both over water-filled valleys – and the unforgettable, but terribly tight and intimidating double dog-leg par-5 4th.

  • 4.5 out of 5 Great challenge of golf with superb views of Devonshire countryside

    By andrewhateley

Great course, reminded me of Val Andre course in Brittany, with tight fairways over ravines and danger either side for erant drives. Greens were deceptively tricky to read with subtle borrows but overall fair. We played in middle of heatwave in June and the buggy was a godsend, especially as there is distance between green/tees, so advise to book one early as we were fortunate to get one! Stunning views over the Devonshire country side made up for the five hour round as we were following a large visiting golf society. Overall excellent value for money as half-price fees after 14:00pm and will definately be visiting again soon.

Arrived for a two night, 3 round stay, when the uk was having its worst storms for years. Wonderfull course superb condition (Can't imagine how good it will be in the Summer) Lovely views excellent variation on all holes, great greans friendly staff and good food. Very Very windy, because of the storms so while playing into the wind a good drive was 175 yards (normally 250 ish)great fun. A must for any good golfer, not for the faint hearted

The club house was great if you have time for a round hear you must have a pasty and beans and chip for £5, on the course we had loads of signed and markings on the greens, the views from most of the holes are very nice, the 9th was a great hole back to the club house i would rate this as one of the best courses i have played.
