Your Reviews

I can't agree more with the previous reviews, this place is simply fantastic. The pro was really helpful and when we turned up with a "teetimes" booking he told us the course wasn't really in very good form due to the snow and rain, so he told us our booking could be delayed for a few weeks. When we returned we were a little concerned that it'd be a waste of time, HOW WRONG WERE WE!!!! I've been on worse summer fairways, it was immaculate. Winter rules, no need here, hit the fairway and you'll be fine, they're that good. The greens were a deep green and looked like they'd be slow but they weren't, and they really did putt true aswell, subtle borrows and breaks galore. And as for the 8th, well yes I had a mare on it, put your ball on your tee, lean back and lookup. NOW THAT'S AN UPHILL PAR 3. Followed by the par 4 9th uphill all the way, a tough ask, a deserving stroke index 2. The course winds its way through the woods and just blows you away, the views are beautiful as are the holes on the course. To all in the area, seek out chiltern forest and give it a try. You won't be disappointed, this is a real cracker

  • 4 out of 5 A hidden gem in the Chilterns

I' ve played this course a few times and am always blown away.  Over the last 5-6 yrs the course has got even better (I think the head greenskeeper plays of 5 and it shows in his attention to detail).  The scenery is stunning and the clubhouse and on course atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming.  A true test of golfing skills is presented as the greens are very true and subtle, and ANY stray shots will be punished by the tree lined fairways.  If you find your way into trouble, it's always best to take your medicine and get the ball back in play. There is no water on this course but in all honesty, it's a hard enough track without. If you live in Bucks or the surrounding area, this course is definitely worth a visit.

  • 4 out of 5 simply brilliant winter course

It's tucked away, but it's a real cracker of a course. After a relatively simple opener it just blows you away from the 2nd tee(you drive across a huge valley to an uphill fairway). Picturesque holes are all over this course. Perfect fairways and receptive greens and the toughest par 3 I've ever tried in the 8th. It's only 147yds but it's to a target about 60yds above you.All said and done, can't wait to get back.
