What we say

Once upon a time you couldn't play here unless you were a member. But once-exclusive Harleyford have opened its doors to visitors to enjoy the Donald Steel layout plotted in estate parkland above the Thames. Sir Steve Redgrave is a regular here.

Designed by leading golf course architect Donald Steele, par 72 Harleyford provides a challenging game in a perfect, natural setting within the historic parkland of the Harleyford Estate.

Owing to the fact it is south facing, sheltered and blessed with natural features, very little contouring was necessary, enabling the natural beauty of the estate to be preserved.

The parkland holes (the 1st, 2nd, 16th, 17th and 18th) have no bunkers at all - instead players are challenged by grassy hollows and cunningly angled greens which amply test their putting skills.

Top quality that get's better as you go on. Possibly, the back nine, is the best nine holes in Bucks! 12th (par 3) is stunning. Risk and reward (par 4) 14th is well worth a go at and the 17th (par 5) is the best of the lot. Stunning setting, play here it's worth a lot more than the asking price!
