Weymouth Golf Club

What we say

This course was founded in 1909, but has seen many changes. Many alterations were necessary after a new bypass affected several holes. There’s a tough finish, particularly the impressive 18th which requires a long, accurate drive to the dog-leg corner.

The feature of Weymouth Golf Course, which is bound to strike the golfing visitor before any other is the magnificence of its situation. It is situated in the heart of Weymouth town.

Almost 100 years old, Weymouth golf club continues to develop year upon year. Recent drainage work to the greens along with the installation of a new 8th tee make this gem of a golf course one of the most popular in Dorset.

Weymouth Golf Club prides itself on it's friendly atmosphere and welcomes visitors throughout the year for golf as well as excellent catering and bar facilities.

A very challenging parkland course. Played the course in May 2015 and it was in excellent condition, with well kept tees boxes, very good fairways and superb medium fast greens that ran true. Leave the driver in the bag on the front 9 as any wayward drives will get you in trouble and then on the back 9 when the course opens out you'll need it. It is a very kept, well established course that will make you want to come back for more. Similar to Yeovil old course in some aspects but a better all round package. Next to Mendip which is another very good course it's one of my favourite parkland course in the South West.
